Our Purpose

Hillview believes its purpose is identical to its process (or the "what to do") of ministry being to:

 1. Love God

 2. Build Faithful Disciples

 3. Share the Hope of Christ

Everything that we do will flow out of this three step process that enables Hillview to obediently follow Christ. Our solid belief is to properly love God, build faithful disciples, and share the hope of Christ only comes through each person intimate relationship with Christ. We strive to equip each person to study God's Word and allow the Holy Spirit to bring renewal of our mind     (Romans 12:2).

Our Philosophy

Hillview approaches ministry within the framework of scripture. The Bible provides our "blueprint" to follow in how we do ministry. This approach is biblical illustrated in the following eight points:

1. True ministry is initiated by God.
2. Where God guides, He provides.
3. True ministry is received, not achieved.
4. True ministry is not the result of commitment, but surrender.
5. True ministry is accomplished through vital relationships.
6. The role of church leadership is not to do all the work of service, but to be an example and equip believers for the work of service.
7. The goal of this philosophy of ministry is to help people to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior and to assist them to mature in becoming more like Christ.
8. God must be the focus of our ministry.
